Shaving With Essential Oils

 Shaving Cuts

Make this mixture and keep in the bathroom cabinet for when it’s needed for shaving cuts.

2 teaspoons Witch hazel

10 drops Lavender

10 drops Yarrow or Lemon

Put all the ingredients in a bottle and shake it well each time before using. Dab a little onto cuts to stem bleeding and to use as an antiseptic.

Shaving Rash

This remedy has very quick results.

10 drops Lavender

10 drops Chamomile

5 drops Calendula

4 teaspoons evening primrose oil

Put all ingredients in a bottle and shake before use. Spread a small amount on the rash after shaving, leave it on for a few moments and then wipe off the excess with a tissue.

Shaving Itch

This formula is similar to the Shaving Rash formula. It works well for the itch that’s often accompanied by dry skin that results after shaving.

10 drops Lavender

10 drops Chamomile

5 drops Calendula

4 teaspoons evening primrose oil

2 tablespoons soya bean oil

Put all ingredients in a bottle and shake before use. Spread a small amount on the skin after shaving, leave it on for a few moments and then wipe off the excess with a tissue.

Shaving Inflammation and Sesitivity

This formula should be splashed on the area that is sensitive to shaving that is often accompanied by inflammation.

2 teaspoons Tincture of Myrrh

2 tablespoons Rosewater

10 drops Chamomile

5 drops Lavender

2 drops Peppermint

1 drop Lemon

Add the essential oils to the tincture of myrrh first and then add to the rosewater. Shake the bottle well after preparing and shake again before each use.
