Weight Loss Tea

This tea has been used for centuries to dissolve fatty tissue. It also improves the beauty and youthfulness of the skin, cleanses the mucous membrane of the colon, and is an excellent source of vitamin C. This tea is a diuretic and helps reduce water retention (which makes up a huge part of unwanted weight), balances the appetite, and minimizes food cravings. Drink 2 to 3 glasses per day for weight loss purposes.

Black salt is considered to be a very healing food for cancer prevention. Because it has a strong taste and smell, only a small quantity is used. Tamarind, a sweet and sour tropical fruit, is sold as a paste with or without the seeds.

¼ to1/3 cup fresh or dried mint leaves

2 cups cumin seeds

1 tablespoon fresh or concentrated tamarind (from Asian stores)

¼ teaspoon black salt (from Asian stores)

4 lemons, sliced

½ tablespoon black pepper

3 quarts water

Combine all the ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and continue to boil covered under low heat for two hours. You may have to add as much as ½ quart more water. Strain and serve hot or cold. You can reuse the ingredients to make more tea; just add fresh lemons. This tea can be stored for up to a week in the refrigerator.

Thanks for posting this recipe. I will try this myself as I continuing to try to lose belly fat. Would this be also helpful for this? I have lost about 20-lbs but still have more to lose to get to my ideal weight of 140-lbs. I have successfully combined the power of food and a variety of daily exercises, minimum 30-minutes to achieve my weight loss.

  2. It’s good that you have changed your eating habits and added exercise into your daily activities. That’s what needs to be done. This tea can only help break the fat down if those principles are being followed. You wouldn’t see much change otherwise.
Please be aware that low-fat and nonfat snacks are high in refined carbohydrates. Those are the little guys who, through a complex chain reaction, turn into stored fat in our bodies – usually in our belly. Unfortunately, they are allowed into ‘diet’ snack foods. Also, eliminate the use of artificial sweeteners, which have not only never been proven to help anyone lose weight, they have been proven to cause weight gain. Yes, diet pop made with aspartame will cause you to gain weight.
I mention these specifically because your concern about belly fat caught my attention. Belly fat can be caused by ‘diet’ foods or other digestive disorders. Stress will also cause belly fat in women. If you are having trouble losing belly fat, this tea will help dissolve the belly fat if you address those issues as well.
