Baked Pears

In nutritional therapy, pears are considered to be excellent for preventing and reducing fibroid tumors and other benign growths in the body. The reason pears are so effective against lumps is thought to be its high content of a phytonutrient, the mineral boron, and an insoluble fiber called ligrin. Pears are easily digested and are very calming for the whole digestive system.

Baked Pears

3 large dates, finely chopped

½ cup granola

1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup + 1 tablespoon apple juice

4 medium pears, peeled and cored

In a mixing bowl, combine dates, granola, flax seeds, cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon apple juice. Fill the pears with the granola mix. Place them on a baking pan, then add 1 cup apple juice to pan. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes. Check after 15 minutes, and ladle juice over the pears so they won’t darken or dry on the outside.
